India is home to over 65 million people living in slums, and between 1.5 to 4 million children work as trash pickers. This heartbreaking cycle has persisted for generations. Deeply rooted in the caste system found in Hinduism, many in Indian society view these children as "untouchables"—believing they are destined to live in such conditions due to wrongdoings in a past life.
As a result, countless children grow up in garbage dumps, exposed to disease, abuse, and hopelessness. In areas like the Deonar dumping ground in Mumbai, these children scavenge daily just to survive. Tragically, 90% of children from impoverished families in India remain illiterate.
But we believe God sees these children not as untouchable, but as deeply valuable—so valuable that He sent His Son to die for them.
God has placed a vision on my heart: to build a school near the Deonar dump. This school will offer education, meals, and hope to the children who need it most. But beyond physical aid, we are committed to sharing something even greater—the life-changing message of the Gospel.
India is a spiritually hungry nation. With 79.8% of the population identifying as Hindu, 14.2% as Muslim, and only 2.3% as Christian, the need to share the hope of Jesus is urgent and profound. We want these children to know that they are not forgotten—that they are loved, chosen, and redeemed.
Partner with us to bring not only physical transformation, but eternal transformation. Together, we can offer these children more than education—we can offer them the hope of Christ that changes lives forever. Love for you to partner with us and be apart of changing these children’s lives for the better!
